Summary:
Accounts payable clerk works under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function.
This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.
Demonstrates effective and professional communication skills, strong time management skills, attention a detail, and analytic abilitieswith a focus on accounts payable functions.
Primary Responsibilities Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices Perform monthly reconciliations Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures Perform data entry associated with accounts payable Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies Audit and process credit card bills Address and respond to vendor inquiries Requirements Proficient Microsoft Office applications Strong time management and organizational skills Knowledge of basic accounting principles High degree of attention to detail Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks 1-3 years of accounts payable experience or general accounting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Educational Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) EEO Statement WHC Energy Services is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veterans' status, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
