HB Rentals is now seeking a Technical Designer to join our team.
The ideal entry level candidate needs to possess the ability to work closely with experienced Technical Designers to learn and perform clear, complete, and accurate working plans. They should have the capability to learn and understand detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches, and/or notes by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives specifications for design and prepares initial drawing for review.
Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
Possess the ability to understand the use of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Any suggested adjustments or changes necessary will need to be advised and get approved by management or a designated fellow employee.
Draws charts for representation of statistical data.
Draws finished designs from sketches.
Ensures full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.
Dresses and interacts with others in a professional manner.
Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department.
Relies on level of experience and judgment to accomplish assigned task.

Minimum Requirements
1+ years related experience and or training or equivalent combined experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Inventor, and/or SolidWorks
Ability to generate creative solutions and translate concepts and information into images
Ability to listen and provide feedback to modify designs
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with managers, customers, clients, other employees, and the general public
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
GED/High School diploma
Associates Degree in Drafting and Design preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
