ROLE SYNOPSIS
Baker Hughes has ongoing needs for Assembly, Maintenance and Overhaul (AMO) Technicians and Assemblers in Broussard, LA. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsibilities and accountabilities will depend on each specific opportunity, however may generally include:
Test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies.
Assemble components per bill of material requirements.
Perform functional testing on assemblies.
Assists in reworking, repairing and modifying non-confirming equipment.
Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
Identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.
Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
May be required to operate forklifts and other material moving equipment
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in an Electrical or Mechanical field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent plus an additional 2 years of relevant industrial experience (e.g. aircraft, military, automotive, oilfield, heavy equipment manufacturing).
Able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
At least basic proficiency in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices.
Knowledge of fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.
Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, megohmmeters, ho-pot testers and other basic instruments.
Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
Basic proficiency with computer skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Familiar with SAP
Ability to fabricate, run and terminate wire cable harnesses.
Individuals with one of the following skills are desired: electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, automotive repair, electrical experience or any other skill with electro mechanical devices
OTHER DETAILS
This position requires both electronic and mechanical skills.
Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
May be required to work on call and/or overtime as needed.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to travel up to 10% domestically and globally.
