Admin Assistant

M-F Approx. hours 8 am-5 pm
o Handle incoming phone calls and transfer appropriately. Take accurate messages and distribute.
o Greet public and direct them correctly.
o Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail.
o Prepare outgoing mail for distribution.
o Run Office errands; post office, bank, etc.
o Employee Expense Reports.
o Relieve Administrative Assistant as required for breaks/lunch.
o Assist with account payable and account receivable functions.
o Perform other tasks such as stocking refrigerator, filing, scanning, copying, faxing, shredding, and responding to emails/mail.
o Good verbal communication skills a must
o General phone, clerical, and administrative experience
o Prior accounting experience
o General computer knowledge and proficient typing skills
o Experience with Microsoft programs
o Must be professional, reliable, upbeat and friendly
o Must have reliable source of transportation
o Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions
o Should be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
